I am looking for writing work with your company. I think you’ll find that I am highly adaptable and versatile and that my years of communicating ideas within popular culture can be of great benefit to you. To be clear I am not offering translation services. I do not at this stage speak French.

In my twenty years as a screenwriter I have had many productive collaborations with other writers and directors. I have a powerful apatite for genuinely original story concepts even in well-worn genres. I have a talent for natural and engaging dialogue and a very strong grasp of the dynamics of story structure.

While my main area of expertise is in story writing I am also highly skilled at editing and refining promotional material.

I have put together many submissions for script development and other projects. As I’m sure you know these need to demonstrate how the given creative work will compete in the marketplace.

I am adept in rearranging the elements of a rough draught of a document to more strongly bring out the core intent so it is more transparent and easier to read. I do this without reducing the scope of the piece or losing or distorting the original spirit of the work.

When it comes to specialisations that are new to me I am well practiced at questioning the author of the original document so I quickly have a strong understanding of what has to be communicated. I’m very good at distilling complicated concepts down into something that anyone can understand at a glance.

In the production of my most recent feature length Machinima movie projects “Killer Robot” and “Stolen Life” I have had to create a great deal of computer code and overcome complex technical problems. I’m very comfortable with industrial jargon and technical concepts. And acutely aware of what story elements are likely to place demands on the game creation process and resourceful in delivering a scene within the boundaries of the medium.

I have been a regular gamer for over ten years playing games ranging from Story driven adventure games such as the Tex Murphy and Grim fandango adventures to Point and click puzzle games like Myst and Zork to Frag fests such as Quake, Metal of honour and Max Payne. I’m a keen observer of game culture as it grows and transforms.

I find the prospect of working for the games industry a challenging and exciting one. Interactive and non-linier story telling is a new and exciting field. There clearly are many things yet to be discovered.

Et pour finir le titre de script doctor est excellent parce qu\\\'autant le dire les scénaristes sont de grands malades. A cause d\\\'Anaël je suis en manque de Deus ex machina mais je me soigne! Mes personnages gentils ont tous perdu leur air bonhomme (private joke) et mes personnages méchants n\\\'ont plus tous le look germanique!!!
